Temecula Wine Country
Looking for another local getaway in times of Covid we found an AirBnB in Temecula.
It was perfectly situated in the middle of vineyards, within walking distance of wineries and a short drive to Front Street in Old Temecula, where safe outdoor dining was available.
The first morning my camera fell in love with the shadows made by the trellis outside
There were many aesthetic details within footsteps of the house
Early in the morning we could see the hot air balloons taking off and returning
It was interesting to see the wine fields dormant.
The twisted vines looked almost sinister.
We visited several wineries for some tastings. Bottaia had excellent wines and was a beautiful location
Wilson Creek Winery was a short walk away and as we left it was approaching sunset, making for some golden moments.
And a lovely sunset walking back to our AirBnB
Moon-rise on the vineyard structure near our place
It was windy one day resulting in tumbleweed in the vines
And as always I was on the lookout for cute images that made me smile
On our final day we drove into the nearby mountains to Idyllwild to see what that area was like. The mountains are not as high as the Sierras, but there were still lovely vistas.
Good bye Temecula, where to next?
