San Francisco Weekend 2024

John was speaking at the TSAA conference in San Francisco and we hadn't been there for several years so made a weekend of it. Zoë was a participant on a group panel, so she joined us.

The city has gotten a bad rap because of the homeless situation and the decimation of the downtown area during covid, but they are doing their best to recover.

We had a fun dinner in Chinatown on Friday night and there was a night market which is revitalizing the area on Friday nights. Saturday morning I walked to the Ferry Building to take a ferry to Sausalito and the farmers market was in full swing. They had beautiful, and photogenic produce.

The ferry building is classic structure.

And the view from the ferry of the city is grand.

I met my friend Sara and we went to Mill Valley for an arts fair. The quality of the crafts and arts being shown were wonderful, and being in the redwoods was a treat.

The next day a few of us took the ferry again to Sausilito for brunch at the Trident. Nick photographed us on the ride over.

And I took a few photos on the ferry too.

Walking around the city I saw some fun sculpture. I found the city very aesthetic over all.

Nick took a group shot minus him before we took the ferry back to town.
